I’m sorry but Himeko & Chikane beat out Miyu & Mai over yuri potential, plus the scene looks so cute! Another great wall thanks to the good folks over at banime whom continue to turn out excellent wallpapers one after another!

On another note, Gankutsuou Original Soundtrack totally rocks and everyone should buy the CD!

Imperfection

Taking a long break from trying to read Castiglione’s Book of the Courtier for my Ritual Myths and Propaganda class. Have to read like 200 pages and while it’s somewhat interesting, it’s ovely long and making me fall asleep. And I’ve only read 40 pages so far! argh.

Random thought: I can’t figure out for the life of me why people are checking out my Hong Kong gallery photos. Every week I see the view count go up one or two, leaving me wondering “how and why?” I guess Matt’s mug is an crowd pleaser? Or maybe the random stupid shots mostly of Matt and Jan have people laughing? Just another mystery of life I guess…

ADV + VIZ

Today has been a good day for my anime needs. 1/3 of the VIZ mangas I ordered from rightstuf were home waiting for me when I got back yesterday and today, picked up Azumanga Daioh Vol. 3 for $10 at BestBuy while my ADV Films order of Kaleido Star Vol 3-6 came via UPS.

If one hasn’t already heard, almost the majority of orders from ADV Films’ crazy Valentine’s Day sale have some slight damage to them. Unfortunately mine wasn’t one of the lucky ones, though the razor X-cut on the UPC code isn’t that bad; I think the cut really only goes through the case and not the actual insert. Also, the box was pretty damaged, which I’m going to chalk up to ADV Films’ lack-lustering care since UPS has always been good to me and our usual UPS guy is always pretty cool, so yea. Either way, isn’t a big deal for me since the cover isn’t reversible and it’s not like I look at the back much anyways. I’m just glad I finally completed my Kaleido Star DVD collection even if it’s just the first season while saving $15 or so in the process. Now I have to just wait on the second season to come out on DVD ^_^;

I’m very surprised in BestBuy selling various anime DVDs at different prices, but works for me. Nice that Azumanga Daioh Vol 3 happen to be on “sale” since I need volumes 3-6, but would have been cooler if the others were on “sale” too. Luckily, my local BestBuy happen to still have one copy of Vol 3 left when I checked today so that worked out well… else I would have been a tad sad after hearing about BestBuy’s unique pricing methods and missing out on some the deals. Now only if volumes 4-6 would go on “sale” or something

As for the manga, if you noticed that the volumes of Alice 19th are only 4 and 7 that’s because rightstuf only happened to have them to ship to me first. I’m still waiting on the rest of the series, which just recently shipped so next time I come back home they’ll be here waiting to be read. Same thing with the Rapxehon mangas, but instead of waiting on the last volume of said series I’m waiting on the rest of Neon Genesis Evangelion manga Vol 4-9 instead.

Too bad I haven’t had a chance to kick back and watch some of the DVDs, though I did read the Rahxephon mangas. Too much backlog in missed anime that I’ve been spending most of my day watching them. Only another 12 episodes to go before I’m caught up.

… I don’t want to even think about how much I’m behind on my anime blogging.. ;_;

Courtly Love

Yet again I make it just pass the passing line. I got back my Linear Optimization HW1, which I got an 80/100 on so that’s not too bad. Also got back my Ritual Analysis paper for Ritual Myths and Propaganda that I did the morning of, somehow getting an C+. Not bad not bad, as the professor said I had some good insights but my horrible prose (i.e. grammar and sentence structures) were crap; if I re-wrote it once or twice it would have sounded a lot better. At least I’m not failing that class now…. ^_^;

Looking at my calendar for March, I realize it’s going to suck.. royally. Every week I have either an exam (two exams the day before spring break) or an paper due. The next couple of weeks are going to be so fun. -_-
