Moral of the Story

If I want one thing anyone reading to get out of this, it’s this:
WorstBuy BestBuy f*cking sucks.
I’ve decided to never set foot in any BB for as long as I live. Not owning up to their own mistakes and trying 2930842 different ways to give the run around, BestBuy now has been added to my blacklist (which only included Naruto until now). I give the big FUCK YOU and international middle finger to them! Assholes!

Wide or Small

Got a Samsung 26″ Widescreen TV. Big improvement over my old-school 20″ mono one.

Anime never looked better! Now only if I can get used to the weird sound system…

Witty-Genshiken-like-Title-Here

Picked up the first two volumes of Genshiken awhile ago but never got around to posting the buy. I don’t think I need to say anything about the manga other than that every anime otaku must buy it (and the anime too)!

Also picked up a cheap $10 gamepad at CompUSA aptly named “THRUSTMASTER”. It does its job fine since I wanted to play some doujin fighting games like FATAL/FAKE and MELTY BLOOD without killing my laptop keys. Now only if I could actually play well since for one, my fingers constantly kill from work and two, I sort of suck at fighting games nowadays. ha!

UQAW

Unlimited QA Works (pun from Fate/Stay Night) can pretty much describe working the 10+ hours shift at work. At one point I was QA final checking (QA = Quality Assurance) 24 IMB T42s all at the same time! Not just once, but going at it at like a madman checking over laptops in 24-shot attacks.

Even with myself and the two other “veterans” of QA Finals going nuts the whole frickin’ time we were at work, still ended up leaving at 4:15am. This is after the fact that we had 10-12 people doing QA Finals from midnight and on. Before that, it was just us three “veterans” doing 10+ laptops in one shot and repeating the process over and over and over again.

Really the only good thing about the 12 hour shift was the fact it was all overtime pay. I (un)fortunately get to get more overtime since we all have to come in today and sunday at 5pm to god-knows-when. It’s going to be great money, once I actually get the paycheck (unfortunately the way the temp agency works, don’t get the big-arse check until mid-September), but 10 hour shifts everyday for the past week and most likely next week too is really starting to get to me. Constantly almost falling asleep and being out of energy at work doesn’t help either
