A King’s Christmas

Another lovely Fate/Stay Night wallpaper featuring Saber

I finally got around to playing the two mini-games included in To Heart 2 XRATED and I must say, they’re fun! One is a straight up one level shooter while the other is a type of tetris/pyon-pyon like game. The shooter is pretty fun but man is it ever hard not to die a few times! The tetris like game is pretty cool but for an old man like me, tis a bit hard. I just can’t get used to how you move around the blocks/books to connect to make chains!

On a totally different topic, do you remember (for those that celebrate) when you stopped believing in Santa Claus? I ask since the season is upon us with Christmas only being eight days away. Plus after watching the recent episodes of Everybody Hates Chris and Itsudatte My Santa!, it really got me thinking about the subject. I honestly can’t remember when I stopped believing but can only guess it must have been around the age most children usually find out the truth. Sad how as the older one becomes, the things that were fun and mysterious as a child usually end up being lies and simple flights of fancy.

The Results… orz

… I got the job!

No clue how, even though I tanked in the interview, but the company still wants me. And here I thought they still had more interviews to deal with before they decided. Also with only two positions avaliable, either not many people applied or I just happened to be more flexible than others. I start this coming monday though I’m not sure yet of my exact hours, wages, and whether I’m part or full time. I should have asked but the quick return call came as a surprise so I wasn’t really thinking thoroughout the conversation. At least now I have a job! I can finally pay off some bills!

All I’m hoping for, beside the job being “easy”, is that I’ll be full time so the hour drive down will be worth it. Otherwise I won’t be making much scratch to really off-set the time, effort, and gas that the job will take up. Also it seems I can’t leave the New Brunswick area since my new workplace is like only 10 minutes away from the university! Same exact thing happened when I had the temporary job over the summer as it was like the next exit after Rutgers!

Heartfelt Festival

Dengeki G’s Festival! vol. 3 with To Heart 2 XRATED goodies!

Mangaoh pulled through (thanks to bakaboobie for finding the item) by having Dengeki G’s Festival! volume 3, which included a To Heart 2 XRATED Special Box with a Tamaki pillow case, 3 mini-mouse pads, and a cellphone screen cleaner. (Un)fortunately since I can’t read any japanese, I had Mangaoh send the magazine via EMS which costed me a total of ~4000yen (magazine was only 1880yen). Not too bad considering the only other way I could get the magazine is via Yahoo! Japan Auctions and god knows how long that’ll take!

The magazine itself, at least this issue, was a treat and must have for any To Heart 2 fan as it goes through the recently released To Heart 2 XRATED PC game plus various other related TH2 goods. Dengeki G’s Festival! also had a brief history on the company, Leaf/Aquaplus, similar to bluemist’s review but with more pictures. I think, however, I enjoyed the various images from various artists featuring the TH2 cast the most; the Ruuko/Lucy one with HMX ears was pretty cute

Now that my TH2 fanboy has had a chance to speak, on to a more serious topic. Today I had an interview with Setup Site, Inc for a part/full-time position as tech support. Unfortunately I totally bombed the interview! It was only 15 minutes long and the one question my interviewer asked that was related to the job, I totally didn’t remember thoroughly. At least he was nice enough to fully explain what I was trying to explain. Anyway, while I hope by some miracle I do get hired, I highly doubt it. They still have a few more interviews left with other qualified, and probably better, individuals than myself. I’ll ultimately find out my fate in a week or so when they should call me back with whether I got the job or not.

I have a feeling I’ll be very depressed that day.

Summer of Tamaki

The best thing to come out of Leaf/Aqua so far, Tamaki Kousaka from To Heart 2.

With the winter season upon us, I’ve been unfortunately sleeping more and doing less. Time for hibernation maybe? At least I have some nice eyecandy to look at while I waste away the daylight hours being non-productive, right?

Since I’m really bored right now, here’s what my desktop actually looks like. I normally just hide everything when I do my desktop caps since it’s all about the wallpaper anyways. Seems like I’m getting less organized and more lazy as time goes by though, based on my “messy” desktop huh?
