Continuing my faith in HLJ and the post office, the Evangelion gashapons arrived today. Good to know they didn’t end up in a black hole or some alternative dimension where AU Moy would have recieved them instead! So suck on that AU Moy!
Following the path of the other two set of figures I’ve gotten, I have another play-by-play as I opened up this once thought lost treasure to see what goodies I’d get. I’ve been lucky twice already, so does Lady Luck shine on me for a third time or does my luck finally run out?!
Capsule 1: Rei in school uniform. Not a bad start.
Capsule 2: Shinji in casual bike wear. Cool cool.
Capsule 3: Gothic Lolita Asuka. Sweet!
Capsule 4: Shinji in casual bike wear… f**k not good.
Capsule 5: Rei in school uniform again… doubles already…

Capsule 7: Shinji… AGAIN?! DAMN YOU IKARI!
Capsule 8: Another Rei in school uniform… give me a break damn it!
Capsule 9: Son of a… the FOURTH FRICKIN’ REI… *bangs head*
Capsule 10: Asuka in casual bike wear… finally a new one!
The five gashapons I’m keeping: Rei in school uniform, Shinji in bike wear, and Gothic Lolita Asuka. For the other two, I took one of the doubles of Rei and Shinji and gave them to my bro since he’s a decent Eva fan too. Got to share the wealth somewhat right? Anyway for gashapons, tis not bad but after being awed by trading figures I can’t say much else.
The rest of the gashapons go to TokenAsian whom I’m splitting the cost with. Hopefully the person he’s getting these gashapons for does not read my blog or the whole surprise x-mas gift effect will be lost!
On the front of upcoming deliveries, I should maybe receive one more at the end of this week. If I’m really lucky, I’ll also get two more by the end of next week but who knows. I’m hoping so, however, as it’ll be a nice late birthday gift(s) to myself from myself

This post reminds me why I got out of collecting gashapons and went with bigger single figures instead. I didn’t really have anyone to trade with, so to get complete sets I was often buying way too many and spending too much cash. Curse my collector’s mentality and the evil little things, those gashapons! Great gothic loli Asuka BTW, yum!
