layout

argh~!!!

I think that word pretty much under-described what I felt as I went through creating “11~15% suki” blog layout. I started hacking out code and image editing around 11:30pm Wednesday, and it’s currently 6:16am Thursday when I’m 75% done. I still have to add a few touches here and there but the basic design is pretty much set (not even going to think what I’m going to do for the general moyism.com site). Wondering what took me so gosh-darn long to do the layout? well…

- WordPress: never worked with it before, so I spent hours looking through the code and messing around with it trying to get the layout how I want it. Yes the layout looks simple (but still elegant in my opinion) but it took awhile to figure everything out. Guess my coding skills aren’t what they used to be.

- Layout design: You know how you always have these great ideas in your mind but when you actual do them, they never turn out the way it does in your head? Layouts are a perfect example of that. The final turn out was still good, but I had an slightly different vision… so blame it on my lack of photoshop and coding skills but I always end up with “simple” layout designs that usually work. Thankfully, 11~15% suki’s is one of them… for now.

- Time and Energy: more like the lack thereof. I’m working on no food intake today so I’m surprised I haven’t passed out yet. A lot of snacking (i.e. eatting A LOT of hershey’s kisses almonds and caramel) has kept me somewhat sane.

There you have the short of it. Now back to finishing everything up!
