Moy Cave

By all rights I should be asleep since I’ve just come off an 12-hr straight shift plus the 45 minutes driving back at like 3:30 in the morning, just to do it all over again every day for the next 1 1/2 weeks. Sure the overtime is going to kick arse but I’m losing out on good sleep, anime watching, blogging, and just general freedom. ‘Tis the price that must be paid to get some decent cash!

Anyway, since someone asked how my room looks now with my recent summer purchases I took some quick shots to give ‘ya all an idea of where I stuff all the expensive anime crap I end up buying.

My crappy “work” area. Spend 90% of my time here bumming the ‘net and watching porn anime. One can tell from the stains how used and abused the “desk” gets from constant usage. All those wires by the way connect my external HDs and DVDR plus hook up my crappy sterero system to use as computer speakers. The speakers I used to use kept constantly having this weird noise thingie that got annoying so I decided the change. *shrugs*

Just showing the coolness of the Trigun cat plus the Mika Nakashima - Find the Way CD Single and Meyrin Hawke of Gundam SEED Destiny small figure.

The Dokoro-chan I paid the $50 for (well that and the DVD).

’tis all about the pinky figure cuteness. 5+ for it being Aya Natsume from Tenjo Tenge.

Meyrin Hawke. Enough said.

The Awesomely great DVD collection of mine. Pretty much running or is it ran out of room for DVDs on the shelf. God, thinking about how I bought like all those DVDs within just the past year really makes me want to cry. More so when one considers the R2 DVDs!

The GIRLS Bravo box really doesn’t go with the color scheme that the other two boxes have but I really had no choice where to put the box after wanting to display both Air Movie edition front box art. Also these three boxes I probably won’t ever complete but just wanted the first volume for the cool extras (and of course, box art).

Displaying the Air boxes pretty much take up 3/4 of the first row. $450 worth being display now that I think about it while lamenting over the expenses… Tsukihime and Ai Yori Aoshi figures take up some displaying space too.

Funnily enough, now that I think about it almost every DVD box there is completed. Just got to do Elfen Lied since all those single DVDs are just cheap fluff I sort of wanted. SD Gundam goodness protects them from unwanted thieves.

My pitiful American DVDs and whatever is left of my anime DVDs. Can’t do wrong with Strike Gundam and Red Frame doing guard duty. The Tsukihime Prologue DVD while a nice buy as a TYPE-MOON fan totally sucks in general since I paid $30 for it! I need to display the blasted thing to make it worth my money!

All my printed anime material plus expensive figures. One can tell I still need to figure out where to put some crap like my college diploma, Sentimental Graffiti artbook, and other random anime stuff.

$250 for physical versions of some of my favorite anime/manga/game characters. ;_;

First row of mangas I have. Keeping up with AIR GEAR though I can’t read any of it. Some of the HiME girls do usual guard duty though because of the quality of the material they’re made of, half of them are bending forward in a bad way.

Second row of mangas. A balance between cuteness of the plushies plus the l33t-ness of the Alternators and the sexiness of Aisha has somehow worked out well. I think.

*chanting* never gonna open that stuff *chanting*

2 years worth of Maxim plus my HS yearbook and a shit load of anime magazines and artbooks. Too bad I can’t display them anywhere; the anime artbooks in particular.

The cheap finisher! Old-school Sega Saturn and PS1 games I never beat even to this day!

    So, the big question: Were all those anime purchases over the summer worth the overtime you’re going through now?

    (Yeah, I already know the answer. It’s a rhetorical question.)

    Yes… no… er… flip a coin and that’s my answer?

    All joking aside, I actually never thought I’ll be working *this* much overtime (if at all). Tis a good thing though, since after taxes and shit I was afraid I would have been under my “goal.” (needed ~$2k)

    Now I might actually have some spare cash. So that might go into more argh, anime purchases or something. *maybe* LOL

    Hi,

    I just wanted to say that you should put your AIR TV DVDs from left to right because the spines are forming a pattern. You can see what I’m talking about here (picture is old).

    Nice collection and site btw. It’s because of you that I had to track down that cute Pinky Aya ^^

    Somehow I was expecting your room would be ornately decorated (’massively overflowing’) with anime posters from your previous purchases, and figures. Nice hauls on the items you have shown, by the way, especially the Hoi-Hoi san fig(s).

    Impressed you managed to get the Tsukihime preview DVD for such a price.

    I love your Dell LCD, and your Dokuro-chan doll. Gonna have to get these in some near future.

    Gingkonut, thanks for telling me about the AIR TV DVDs. Never noticed that before. I’ll be leaving it the way it is though since it’s *only* clouds :P

    Good to know I can help spread the word of various anime goods and make others buy ‘em too! Talking about the Aya pinky figure, I actually also want to get the Izumi pinky one for Tenjo Tenge too. It’s pretty cute in its own way.

    Bakaboobie, nah. Only in HS did I have my walls covered inch-to-inch with anime (most Eva) posters. Nowadays I just have some framed stuff (already shown in the last room orgy). And if you’re talking about the “tons” of posters from the various anime magazines, there’s just no way I’m going to try to take them out. Afraid I’ll rip them :X

    For anime figures was never really a big fan (read: didn’t want to pay for ‘em) but this year suddenly started to get into them. Boy did I get into them deep too! Just look at the fact that I paid $40 for the Japanese BOMES Aya when I could have waited a few months for the *same exact* figure released in the states for 1/2 the price ^_^;;

    Really about the Tsukihime prologue? I thought the going price was like $20ish?

    Kaspar, Dell LCD yes… awesome stuff plus the constant sales they have definitely make it worth getting! Go get the widescreen ones if you can (friend has like two of the 24″ LCD WS. Simply jaw dropping beautiful). The Dokuro-chan figure, btw, s’okay but nothing to write home about IMHO.

    Just like you, I’m quite the anime and manga fanatic. Gundam is on the top of my list, and i have quite the model collection to boot. I can’t get enough anime however, which would explain the large amount of dvds in my room with no real safe haven. Just wanted to let you know theres someone else out here with the same desire to collect as much anime/manga goodness as possible! ;) and btw, love the figures. Ikki Tousen ;)
