Little Things in Life

2/19/2006

I’ll be the first to admit I get angry pretty easily, but usually the heat of anger disappears within a few hours. My feelings of anger are fast and furious; there one moment and gone the next. I get pissed but am not one to hold a grudge.

So today I stole a guy’s parking spot. You snooze you lose. It’s not really a big deal in my opinion. Apparently not to the guy and his wife as after I get out of the car, he decides to bitch me out about it. Eventually he leaves after calling me an asshole. I mean, come frickin’ on! What the hell did he expect me to do? Apologize sincerely, give him money for his troubles, and go back into my car to get out of the spot so he can take it? Give me a break. I would give him some credit if say, it was a major holiday season, but it ain’t so I’m not. I think it says a lot about your personality if you are like this guy. You really have to be a petty person to actually go out of your way to do this instead of say, finding another parking spot? In the minute or so he wasted expecting me to do something, I saw at least one or two other spots open up.

Humanity is frickin’ brilliant I tell you. It’s people like the jackarse I met today that honestly makes me hate society in general. And this is coming from a guy who usually doesn’t care about what other people do.

There are just way too many idiots in the world, plain and simple.

The first thing you learn while working retail (Osco Drug, here) is that
    People.
    Are.
    Stupid.
I had such a low view of humanity’s “intelligence” before I worked there, and I’m still somehow finding new and amazing lows of moronicness.

Wait, how do you exactly steal a parking space if it’s not reserved for him?

Mmm… I think jealously played along with this…almost like everything else too. The guy’s jealous that he didn’t have the parking space before you did, so he decided to blame it one you instead. Sometimes, human could be really self-centered and selfish. This was one of the reasons why war existed – people wanted the best for themselves…

God damn humanity. This kind of situation has happened to me loads of times. I must say I am at the point where the bithching doesn’t affect me, instead I tell them to fck off (in a competent human conversation way of course) and according to what henria said, yes, humanity can be really selfish and self-centered. It comes natural in all of us, just like the sense of survival… everyone wants the best for themselves to be able to survive…

I apologize for being off topic – but do you know if we could legally download Windows Vista from the official Windows site yet? There seemed to be many screenshots from it already in many places – so I was wondering if it already “unoffically” came out and could be used… Thank you.

    Now, about your topic:

I agree with henria that people could be extremely self-centered and selfish. However, it’s just how every living thing is made to be, isnt’ it? Just like animals, we have an alpha, many beta, and a fair amount of gamma. The alpha are our leaders, and beta are average people. THe gamma would be somthing I don’t really want to talk about… Anyway, it all goes with “the fittest survives,” doesn’t it? Instead of ripping eachother’s skins off, we use different “humanly” techniques, such as war and etc. We are selfish because we are overly protective of ourselves, and also because that we want the best situations for our “pack.” No one in this world is unselfish, though different people do seem to go different extents to strive for “paradise.”

    lol… that is sad…

    guess that’s why i ride a bike around here… i can just act the part of a “stupid” pedestrian and stay on the sidewalk, instead of jostling for position at the red light -_-;

i wonder if it would be possible to logically argue that guy into submission and humility… hmm…

Angsty mode eh, moy. -3 for emo blogging(quote:jason) :P .

Yeah, the world is really filled with intellectually-challenged people. The only thing is to figure out how to use them ’strategically’ :) .

windows 02.21.06 – that’s a great analogy to Wolf’s Rain right there…I like it. And yeah, people are idiots and have a tendency to make each other feel bad because of that.
