Revival of Passion

As one may have noticed, changed the layout again. Figured it was about time since it has already been a year. Not that I didn’t like the Day Dream theme and awesome Yuki (from Haruhi) image I used, but I like to keep things fresh… or at least fool my readers into thinking I’m keeping this blog active by doing a theme switch every once in awhile ;)

Anyway, new theme is called Angelic Designs. I like the easy-on-the-eyes blues and whites used for the theme, plus it finally puts me back to using a 2-column format again which I’m finding is a hell of a lot more convenient than 1-column. Since this theme doesn’t have any header area where one could drop their own custom image per se, I ended up trying to find an anime one that would work decently with the default image. After a few hours of searching and quick editing, ended up with the meido twins Kohaku and Hisui from Tsukihime. Lovely image right? Those that have the full sized image know what I’m talking about ;)

Beside finding a custom image, had to hack out some of the original code since I didn’t need everything featured. Specially, took out the javascript feature that would load either an about section, recent comments/posts section, or the main content based on the layout button clicked. It was cool but something I honestly didn’t need. Also had to add a few random lines of code here and there to make things kosher for Internet Explorer (6.x). Other than those small changes, however, Angelic Designs overall is a nice and easy to install theme.

Well it’s almost 4AM here and my brain is pretty much dead, so I’ll be stopping here for the night. Expect an update or two probably by the end of the week as some purchases should be popping up very soon :)

PS: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann 22 frickin’ rocked!

UPDATE: Now have a handful of random header images instead.

Going Ero with Isuzu Tsumugi

I guess it was bound to happen at one point. After 2-3 years of collecting figurines, I finally crossed the line I never thought I’d cross. I think a line from Moetan 7 as noted by Jaalin probably explains why this has happened, however, as “I can’t help buying figures of characters I don’t even like, just because I can see their breasts.”

With that being said, today I received Solid Theater’s original Kimono no Onna no Ko Isuzu Tsumugi PVC from Hobby Search. After reading Shingo’s review of the limited Hobby Stock version, I had fears that the production issues with the limited edition would translate over to the normal one as well. Are my fears well warranted or did Shingo just luck out? Read on to find out.

And before I forget, this is a NSFW post. If you’re afraid of getting caught at looking at horrible photos of plastic naked breasts, do not venture any further.

Figures and DVDs! Oh My!

Feels like eternity since I have had a chance to write anything. Work has suddenly gotten insanely busy with me now doing the morning shift and totally screwing my old sleeping patterns up the whazoo. Also include my slow start to getting my sorry fat arse back in shape, and I honestly have had no time to devote to any of my blogs… not that I was ever consistent with them anyways ^^;;

Of course, just because I haven’t updated much doesn’t mean I’m spending less. The title post image alone says how much I’m still dropping at any notice. (Un-)Luckily most of the figures ordered have a release date of November, which should give me plenty of time to save the money necessary. Should be a fun a month when all those lovelies come in, considering it’ll be during the month of my birthday. Great birthday gifts to myself right?

Future financial troubles aside, the end of July and beginning of August saw a nice influx of random purchases for me. Almost all of them arriving on the same day to boot! GSC Nendo-Roid Nagato Yuki from Haruhi, Max Factory’s Ryuuna and Mao from Shining Tears, Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekisou, Kanon v8 LE, and Tokimeki Only Love LE 7 help to fill the ever shrinking free space in the halls of the Church of Moyism.

So while I ponder annexing my brother’s room for more space, enjoy the usual crapilicous photos and comments readers have come to love and hate!
