Bamboo Blade Tamaki Plushie

11/12/2007

BAMBOO BLADE episode seven, where we learn the true strength of Tamaki as a human plushie plus how croquettes can bring world peace and just how much an otaku Ishida-sensei may actually be.

After watching years of anime, I’m still dying to try out a croquette. I heard they’re not that great or anything but something that is fried can’t taste too bad right? Anyway been dying for this scene to be animated since I found the accompanying manga panel to be just as hilarious for some strange reason. I think it has to do with how everyone is all SD and enjoying the croquette… (read: I want in too!)

A tad different from the manga I guess due to potential copyright issues? Still funny in its own right as they had to explain what the video format was; cracked at Tamaki’s attempt to put it in the DVD player without much luck. I do, however, have to give props for using Macross Magross as the replacement “anime treasure” Ishida-sensei gives Tamaki for all her hard work :D

Next week’s episode is finally material past the currently scanlated manga released, which should be a nice change as for once, I won’t know what will happen. And based on the preview, it should be a blast with Tama-chan getting a job for something she really wants (probably anime related).

i’ve had croquettes every time i’ve seen them available. they’re probably my favorite “food i’ve tried because of anime”. then again, i’m a big fan of potatoes.

Croquettes are best when fresh, and during winter. There was a store right outside a temple in Kyoto when I went, so awesome.

I wonder where you live, and what your mother cooked all your life…
Basically in most countries there likely is a national dish that resemble this “croq-whatever”, despite the Wiki saying Dutch made it, its as basic as you can get.
