Yep, I’m fricking doing it! I’m going to Otakon this year!

Sorry Hinano and JP, as much as I would have loved to meet two premiere anime bloggers at next week’s AnimeNEXT, seeing both Mamiko Noto and Tomokazu Seki is too good a chance to pass up! I’ll make it up to you guys somehow in the future… maybe?

Anyway, I’m pretty psyched. I should be heading down there with some coworkers so at least I won’t be going solo and having a horrible time like I did with MangaNEXT. I know the two seiyuus’ panels and autograph sessions will probably be mad crazy but dang it, I gotta do it. I don’t know if I’ll feel adventurous enough to try to get their autographs but I at least want to listen in on their panels/events/whatever at all cost. I’ll push down lolis if I have to!

Going to Otakon should be an interesting experience, if anything else, especially since it will be my first/last/only major anime convention. So who else is going and does anyone want to try to meet up? Not that I’ll be a terribly interesting person or anything but if anyone wants to meet the man behind the blog, I wouldn’t mind meeting some folks. Plus it’s always nice to put some faces to names. If anyone is interested, leave a comment and we can try working something out.

    First cons are a shocking experience hehe… beware of cosplayer brats (especially girls)… and getting a signed shikishi can also end in a bloodbath… but all worth it, yes sir!

    There are the pics of my Goth Haruhi, My camera sux but its acceptable :)

    Also after reading the comment from someone earlyer about having figures on the wall i seriously am getting worried. I sleep under ~80 volumes of manga 60-70 dvds and quite a few figurines -.- (see pic) if that was to fall not only would i probebrly be killed. ~$1000 of figues would be smashed into pieces…

    Anyways im very happy with haruhi (a bid sad i knocked my other haruhi over and broke a small peice of the guittar off when taking pictues of them together but its glue’able :> )

    This year will be my third Otakon. I had a good time the last two years. A meetup would be fun.

    hahaha, yeah, i’m here in Vancouver, Canada but something is always happening when there is a con on ie. exams, wedding etc.

    one day, i will go to Anime Expo or one of the big ones, it’ll be awesome XD

    I’m going this year, and it will be my first time as well – and I’m dressing up! I really hope you enjoy going, I definitely want to hear about it when you come back.

    Even if you don’t like the con, I live in Baltimore and there’s alot of nice stuff to do if you get bored lol have fun and be safe!
