Nana Mizuki LIVE FORMULA

I’ll hopefully have a more concrete entry/review of Nana Mizuki’s LIVE FORMULA DVD in the next 24 hours, so for now I’ll you folks with photos of the DVD and extras after the jump. Update: Added 75 screencaps from the first two DVDs (basically the concert). I doubt I’ll add any from the third DVD due to laziness but I will mention it’s pretty fun with extras like a “making of”, interview with the Cherry Boys band, and scenes from the other concerts. And let me just add, I initially had over 300 screenshots but somehow reduced it to 75; do pardon my crappy screencap skills, however, which seem to have deteriorated greatly after years of non-consistent blogging.

I think unlike reviewing anime, reviewing any type of concert is hard as hell simply for the fact without actually hearing the music played one can’t get a good feel whether it’s “good” or “bad”. Sure if one actually has some lick of writing talent, s/he can fill in the gaps but since I’m one of those few that don’t, I can only opt for a lot of screencaps instead

I expect the guys over at seiyuu3 to have a review up sooner or later but in the meantime, if I had describe Nana Mizuki’s LIVE FORMULA DVD in one word, it’d be “godly”. I don’t know, I know I’m blowing it out of proportions, but I was honestly impressed with every aspect of the concert and DVDs themselves. The concert was non-stop Nana-chan awesomeness with her singing her most recent releases (basically 2/3 of “GREAT ACTIVITY”) plus a few oldies. All always great to see and listen to live!

Even after watching the concert twice I’m still dazed over how great it was. I think I’m still too hyped over the afterglow of watching that I can’t put any concrete thoughts or opinions that isn’t positive or pure fanboyism. Maybe it was the price (4600yen is a fricking steal), my fanboyism for Nana-chan, or just that I wanted something to relax to over the weekend that I really can’t praise and recommend the DVD enough to anyone willing to ask about it!

If I ever get my thoughts sorted out, I’ll try to add something of a review in the future but for now I’ll leave off with screencaps of the concert with Nana-chan’s various concert costumes. All except the 3rd and 5th I thought looked great on Nana (that purple/white number with the skirt and her hairstyle frickin’ rocks!) XD
