NOT Nana Mizuki’s LIVE FIGHTER Goods

Sense the slight bitterness in the title post? I should have gotten my Nana Mizuki LIVE FIGHTER concert discs today but for some reason, they’re still stuck in Japan. Strange since this has like never happen to me in all my times shipping via EMS no matter the company I ordered from. I’m guessing it either got flagged by their customs, someone(s) got lazy on the job, and/or a Nana Mizuki fan who works for the post office there “liberated” them for his/her own good… -_-;;

Anyway, small stuff today. Picked up Band of Brothers on Bluray for $40 which was a steal considering it’s usually $80 or more. No clue when I’ll watch it since I stopped about 1/2 way a few years ago but at least when I do watch, it’ll be in Bluray glory!

Finally got my limited edition Fate/Unlimited Codes PS2 game with the included Figma Saber Lily that I’ll never open ^^;; On the game itself, pretty straight forward 2D/3D fighter with no major bells or whistles as far as I can see. Surprisingly, what ANN’s X Button column says about the game is pretty spot on in that unless you’re a fan of the series the game is a renter at best. Otherwise, you’ll enjoy it well enough, trying to pull off everyone’s special moves and the like; for example, UBW is pretty cool once you get past doing the 6-line chant to start it LOL

I think this is like my fifth Kanu Unchou figure in the year (and since I started buying from the Ikkitousen series) and by god, it’s huge! Just look at the box and cost of $200! Took awhile to put together (mostly because getting all the plastic off was a b*tch and an half) but once fully assembled, looks pretty epic. I would have liked to avoid using the base since it just takes up room but after adding the coat, Kanu becomes way too back heavy for it to stay upright by itself. Obviously I could have done without the coat but Kanu just doesn’t have the same impact without all the accessories (minus the changeable nipple boobs you can use instead of the wrapped ones). See the photo after the jump (or HLJ’s photos linked earlier) to see what I’m talking about, but this Kanu is definitely one of the better ones I’ve see this past year IMHO. I honestly wanted to say this was hopefully my last Ikkitousen and general figure purchase as I need to cut back, but (un)fortunately I still at least one more Kanu figure on order with about a dozen or so other figures that’ll make me eternity broke for 1/2 of next year already ;_;

And now reading over Adun’s year end expense report, I believe this last crop of goods should be the last for the year unless I do something totally utterly ~~insane~~ epic at the last second. Well actually, Nana Mizuki’s LIVE FIGHTER will most likely be the last of the last… assuming I somehow get my discs before end’s year. I mean, is it so hard to wish that this will arrive soon?! I got people waiting to watch gosh darn it!

Poor Lily who’ll stay in her box :’(. Epic Kanu is epic : do want ! By the way have you already voted for Nana Mizuki for the seiyuu awards ? :p

I have the original Band of Brothers DVD boxset and it’s something I rewatch at times of boredom or after playing a WWII FPS game. I can only imagine how awesome it’d be in Blu-Ray.
