First, you can buy genuine looking ones online, even on ebay. Second, after that blogger lawsuit in NY this year the threat of lawsuit alone should be enough to ensure you get in on a press-pass. Make sure you make the threat to their legal of public relations department. This site is clearly in the "alternative media" business. Anyway, thanks for the comprehensive report. I recall that when I was doing press credentials for NYCC, and NYAF - yes both were slightly different, but I remember I had to fax in my press request with a fax and a business card.
