Obligatory Momotato Post

I guess it wouldn’t be the new years without Momotato’s yearly blog post? Honestly enough of us “old timers” who are still active pimp the man enough as is but the fact we still do so shows just how much he’s missed… and how no one has yet to capture his unique charm.

Pretty much the same things I said awhile back, I personally think Momotato was (and somewhat still is) on the edge on getting anime blogging (summaries) done right. No fluff. No massive screenshots. Just tell it how it is and that’s it. Sure at the end it’d be up to the reader to accept/reject his thoughts on a given series, but Momotato sure made it easy enough for one to figure out. Plus he always had a good eye on getting that one screenshot that would somehow draw you to the series in some shape or form, even if the scene it was taken from had nothing particular to do with the anime!

I know we will most likely never see Momotato back to actively blogging, but it’s nice to know there’s always something good to look forward to at the beginning of a new year…

… and with this year’s post, I figured I “owed” him one for mentioning me on his blog. That’s when I know I’m definitely one of the old-timers in the aniblogging community AND have completed another life-goal in getting linked by a famous blogger. I would like to say now I only need to become an aniblogging meme like Momotato to complete the new year but due to my irrational spending habits, I’m already one in some circles ^^;;
