Looks like I should graduate… I think.

I was actually surprised with the first three grades to tell you the truth. Medieval Civilization I figured I’ll be getting a C unless I aced the final considering my midterm was a C/C+ and my paper was a C. I either must have done a lot better than I thought on the final or the professor had a very good grading curve! Old Testament was also a nice surprise since I knew I was guaranteed at least an B even if I did horrible on the final (got an A on the midterm). I thought I did pretty well on the final and apparently, well enough to still maintain my A average as the final grade. Linear Optimization… that I kind of figured I would have gotten after getting raped on the final. I knew there was no chance for anything better than a B+ if I aced the final but after taking the exam, had to pray to just pass instead! Kind of sucked since I had an A on the midterm but my homeworks dropped me to barely an B before the final… figured I had a shot at doing decently… but… well, I guess not. ^_^;;

So I barely mantained above a 3.0 overall GPA with a 2.8 GPA for my final semester at Rutgers. I’m still on the fence on how “good” or “bad” this all was… but at least now, I think I’ve done everything I need to do to graduate with a BA in Computer Science and an minor in Psychology. I’ll know for sure when Waisoon double checks for me to see if I’m on the graduation list or if I get a express letter from Rutgers saying I can’t graduate… three to four days from now I’ll definitely know my final outcome…

Looking at my transcripts of grades of my four years at Rutgers, interesting how I initially started with a 3.786 GPA after my first semester and then from there, just went all down hill to a final GPA of 3.078. Started Spring 2004 that I never saw an semester GPA above 3.0… haha… before that, I would do great in the fall semesters and not-so-good in the spring ones. How the time changed my work ethnics and motivation for the worse.

Just wow… forgot the feeling of getting thoroughly anally raped on an exam. Definitely not a good feeling at all

Anyway, I totally bombed my open-book Linear Optimization exam. I have very very little hope of me getting an B in that class as I needed at least an 80 to do so… which I definitely did not do. All I can do is blame myself for being lazy and not studying, which sucks since I would love to blame something/one else instead!

Well at least now three out of my four exams are done, with only Medieval Civilization tomorrow night from 8-11pm. I should do alright if I actually study as I’m positive I’ll pass no matter what.

And if you’re wondering about my other two exams, well on Old Testament I feel pretty postive I scored at least an B or better on the final (though I don’t know about getting that final A in the class). Ritual, Myths and Propaganda I already have my final grade of a C+ which works fine for me considering I had little to no chance of doing better (essay writing isn’t my strongest suit).

… blah. Almost done… I’m going home tonight for good, so no more Rutgers ever again! I will miss my roomies though, they were pretty cool.

Old Testament exam at 4pm tomorrow and I have yet to start studying. I’m so beat already since I’ve royally messed up my sleeping schedule that I don’t know how I’m going to survive or think straight. Blast old age and laziness!

Oddity for the day: random “fire” (more like a lot of smoke) in the bushes in front of Scott Hall during my Old Testament class. First time in my four years at Rutgers that a fire alarm went off during class but it was a nice relief from the very humid room. Too bad being outside didn’t last long since one of my classmate put out the smoke with a fire extinguisher, and by the time the police and fire department came the “fire” was pretty much out.

Kind of funny how a crowd of 50+ people just stared at the smoke/”fire” while only one person decided to take things in her own hands and put it out. I guess no one wanted to go back to class or seeing another Rutgers building “on fire” was just too interesting not to watch.

Acts of God aside, I have a lot of work to get done within the next couple of days. A LOT of Old Testament readings I want to get done by this friday. Also want to get all of my Medieval Civilization readings done by then too. Just sucks that it’s SO much reading considering there’s only three more classes left. To add more fuel to the fire, I need to write a 5+ page esssay on 1984 due monday plus more Linear Optimization homework due wednesday. I’ll be somewhat happy when this coming wednesday is over with. No more readings to deal with…

… though by then I’ll have to start studying for finals the following week. There is no end! I can’t believe how busy my last month of Rutgers is going to be based on all the work I have to do. I never had this much to deal with the previous semesters!

As I sit down to write this entry, it’s currently an quarter to 9pm and I have yet to finish any of my planned readings for the weekend. I still have to read all of Job from the Old Testament plus a couple of pages of non-baised history of Isreal for my Old Testament class. Also have to read all of 1984 for my Ritual Myths, & Propaganda class… a total of 326 pages!

I really want to get all the reading done tonight so I can just relax on saturday but if I don’t get off my arse soon I don’t see it happening. Me buying two mangas probably wasn’t a good idea either but it can’t be helped, right? I just need to buckle down and read damn it!

… all the anime I still haven’t watched is so tempting… plus blogging some of them might be a good idea too…

Been awhile since I’ve written an “update on my life” blog entry.

Anyway, believe it or not only about one month left for me as an Rutgers University student. I don’t know whether to be happy or sad… actually nah, I’m definitely happy to be done with Rutgers. My four years at college has been okay but without much fanfare. College was just something to do for four years before I worried about trying to find a full-time job. Too bad I still haven’t started looking…

On my actual graduating college, so far things look good. I think I’ve met all the requirements I need to pass college barring failing any of my classes this semester. Classes look good this time around too as I’m pretty sure I’ll pass them all without problem. Recently got back my Linear Optimization midterm where I somehow scored an 90/100. Also got back my Old Testament midterm where I’ve amazed myself again by getting an 92/100. Good stuff. And somehow, I did pass my Medieval Civilization essay getting an C+, which I’m satisfied with. I mean, I did do the paper the morning of so…

Looking at my upcoming weeks, doesn’t seem like too much to worry about. This week first time in awhile that I don’t have anything major due for once. Just the usual go to class, take notes, read, and try not to fall asleep too much during classes. Unfortunately after next (or next next) week I’m back to mini-hell with Linear Optimization HW4 due, Ritual Myths & Propaganda paper, and maybe some early studying for finals (yea right!). Going to be so fun!

Okay, just spent the last two hours getting my Linear Optimization HW done… and it was only for *two* problems! I hate how the subject at hand is easy but actually doing the problems is time-consuming. Well at least I finally got that done.

I think I’m going to re-evulate how I hope to have stuff done this week. Today I’m going to be totally realistic and just try to get the Ritual, Myths, and Propaganda readings/presentation done. I figure an hour or two at most, if I actually stay on task.

Unfortunately I keep pushing back studying for my Old Testament midterm, which I really shouldn’t be considering it’s all written exam, which is also one of my weakest points. I’m planning to lay down the law with myself and get down to studying (which involves filling out all seven weeks worth of study guides, the basis of the midterm) monday after classes and during work on tuesday. If I can kick out most of it on monday, I’ll be very very proud with myself.

… if that is.

Lovely, isn’t it? I’m hoping, seriously hoping, that I can get my Linear Optimization HW, Medieval Civilization readings, and Ritual Myths and Propaganda readings/presentation done today.
